The Creativity Program of TikTok
Being an introvert, Ezza had always been happy to live in the background of her small-town life in Oregon. However, she has been fascinated by TikTok ever since she found out about it.
It was the sense of connection, not just the never-ending scroll of amusing dances, outrageous trends, and viral pranks.
Even though no one in her town would ever notice her, she could reach millions of people through her screen.
It began innocently enough. Ezza recorded a video of herself lip-syncing to a popular song while applying makeup.
However, there was something about her smile that was a bit too radiant, allowing the camera to catch a glimpse of her eyes.
She wasn’t trying too hard, and it wasn’t the ideal setup. But something clicked when she shared it online.
The number of likes on the video increased from a few hundred to several thousand, and then continued to rise. Comments were flooding in: “You’re so real,” “Your smile is infectious.” “I adore your unvarnished personality.” Ezza couldn’t believe it.
This had never happened to her. The only reason she uploaded it was to show her friends. Now, however, her TikTok profile was becoming more popular.
She produced another video a week later. She followed a popular challenge this time.
She was obviously nervous and wasn’t the best dancer, but that added to her allure. Additionally, the video went viral. She was now gaining hundreds of new fans every day.
She didn’t expect her TikTok profile to develop into a place where she could be herself and, in a weird way, transform into someone else. Because of the way she combined sarcasm and sweetness, she earned the nickname “ezzathVibes” from her expanding fan base.
She shared everything from self-doubt episodes to open outbursts about maturing to attempting new pastimes that brought her joy.
It wasn’t all smooth, though. Her greater prominence drew more criticism. While some applauded her sincerity, others criticized her every action. She was beginning to feel the weight of the pressure to be more and post more.
She would check her notifications every morning, and on some days, it seemed like too much to handle. Did she truly want to be like this?
Then the message arrived. It came from a company that one of those influencers frequently mentioned. They wanted her to work with them. Her initial reaction was one of excitement this was the major leagues! Then she paused.
She was aware of the consequences. She would have to conform to a stereotype, act as though nothing went wrong, and play the game she.
She made the decision to gamble on herself one evening as she sat in her room and gazed at the faint glow of her phone screen. She shared a video of herself discussing her feelings of uncertainty with her followers directly.
“This whole influencer thing has been on my mind a lot,” she stated in a quiet yet distinct voice. Although it has been incredible, I don’t want to lose sight of who I am in the process.
The reaction was tremendous. Many of her fans left comments, some of them discussing their own experiences of feeling “too much” or “not enough” on the internet. She was praised by others for being so honest and unvarnished.
Ezza made a different decision the following day. She declined the brand partnership. Rather, she launched a brand-new series called “Behind the Trends” on her TikTok. Her personal thoughts, humorous anecdotes, and occasionally somber conversations regarding social media’s effect on mental health were interspersed throughout each episode.
Even though her videos still featured dances and challenges, they were always laced with genuine, uncut, and authentic glimpses of her life.
And gradually, the number of followers she had amassed kept growing, but this time it felt different. They connected with her and did more than just watch her videos.
Instead of viewing her as a “TikTok creator,” they saw her as Ezza, a person just like them who was attempting to maintain her integrity while navigating the crazy world of internet fame.
Ezza Page remained well-liked a year later, but she had developed a quiet confidence that allowed her to handle her fame.
By producing work she was proud of and letting it develop naturally rather than chasing the viral hit, she had discovered balance and contentment. The foundation of her community was more than just likes and shares. It was based on trust.
And it was the most widely shared thing she had ever made.
